SN Trusts Central School

Sree Narayana Trusts Central School is run by the Sree Narayana Trusts, Kollam. The secretary of the Trusts is the Manager of the school. To look after the academic affairs of the school, there is an Organizing Committee. A school managing committee has also been constituted in accordance with the provision of the CBSE affiliation bylaws.

The founder of the Sree Narayana Trusts is the late Sri. R. Shankar (1909-1972), a dynamic leader with a wide vision. S. N. Trusts was founded in 1952 in the name of the great saint and social reformer, Sree Narayana Guru (1856-1928) to realize one of his important messages, "Freedom through Education"

"Enlightenment through Education" is the motto of the school for, we believe that Education is the power of life. Every child is potentially great and we aim at an all round development by integrating body, mind and intellect. The basic values of love, compassion, courage, honesty for morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired young men and women.

Educational Quality

The Trusts has played an important role in the educational advancement of Kerala, especially in the upliftment of the socially and educationally backward section of the society. So far it's accent has been on the Higher Education sector. But now the management has directed it's attention to the Primary and Secondary levels of education as well.

Curriculum

The course of study follows the syllabus prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. This prepares the pupils for the All India Secondary School Examination (CBSE). The subjects taught at the school are English, Malayalam, Hindi (Third Language), Mathematics, General Science and Social Science. Facilities for Sports and Games, Socially Useful Productive work (SUPW) etc are also provided.
